Choose who you are bidding to
Choose Start a bid. The first question is Who are you bidding to? Choose Private sector for a commercial buyer running its own process through an RFI, RFP, RFQ or invitation to tender. No procurement statute applies. You can change the answer before the bid is created.
How the bid starts
Drop the RFP, RFQ or invitation pack, the specification and the pricing schedule, or enter the details yourself. Two starting points are not offered for a private bid: Discover lists tenders published by public buyers, and a framework call off is a public procurement route.
What a private bid records
- The buyer's country, preselected from your organisation's market.
- The time zone the deadline is stated in. A deadline is never saved without its zone.
- The value with its own currency. Values are never converted.
- Every country or region the contract covers.
What the workspace keeps
The documents, requirements, answers, review and submission screens. It leaves off the tools that only UK public procurement law requires: social value, statutory KPIs and the selection questionnaire.
