Why workspaces matter
A CrowMark tender workspace isolates all documents, requirements, team roles, AI credits, and audit histories for a single procurement competition. Creating dedicated workspaces prevents cross-contamination of client confidentiality and evidence citations.
Step 1: Enter opportunity details
- Click CrowMark > New contract.
- Contract title: Enter the exact tender title from Find a Tender / Contracts Finder.
- Contracting authority: Enter the purchasing body (e.g. Crown Commercial Service, NHS Trust, Borough Council).
- Contract value: Enter the estimated total contract value in GBP. This figure is critical for social value threshold calculations.
- Submission deadline: Set the exact date and time. Deadlines are automatically tracked in your compliance calendar.
Step 2: Set evaluation weightings
Configure the published evaluation split between commercial and quality criteria:
- Quality / Technical weighting: Typically 50% to 70%.
- Commercial / Price weighting: Typically 20% to 40%.
- Social Value weighting: Enter the weighting this contract notice gives social value. PPN 026 states a minimum of 10% for contracts valued at 1m GBP and above but less than 5m GBP, and 20% at 5m GBP or above, for central government departments, their executive agencies and non-departmental public bodies on procurements commenced on or after 1 January 2027. CrowMark warns when the weighting you enter is under that figure and never blocks the entry. Other contracting authorities are not bound by it and may weight social value at whatever figure their notice states.
Step 3: Initialise workspace
Click Create workspace to enter the document upload and compliance extraction interface.
