How the product knows you are a private buyer
From your recorded organisation type. A company is a private buyer, and the requirement builder shows it under Who is buying. Until the type is recorded nothing is enforced and nothing is hidden.
Building a requirement
- Choose the non statutory route and record the document you are issuing: a request for information, a request for proposal, a request for quotation or an invitation to tender.
- Enter the estimated value in the currency you are buying in, preselected from your default currency. It is stored with its currency and never converted.
- Social value measures are optional, because no procurement rule asks a private company for them.
- No UK procurement rule sets a social value weighting for you. Set whatever your own policy requires.
Awarding
No standstill applies to a private buyer, so you are free to enter the contract when you are ready. Award and regret letters are still drafted for you to review.
