How is the social value figure calculated?

For each measure you commit to, the calculator multiplies your delivered quantity by the Oxford Social Value Bank (SVB) proxy financial value, then sums the results. The total is divided by the contract value to produce your percentage. Anything at or above 10% meets the PPN 002 minimum.

Where do the proxy values come from?

Accepted Answer

Proxy values are drawn from the Oxford Social Value Bank (2023-24 update), which is the de-facto reference set used across UK PPN 002 / PPN 06/20 scoring submissions. The Railway backend recomputes the totals server-side against the canonical TOMs library so the figures shown match what bid evaluators would expect.
