What is Test mode?
CrowAgent is currently in an invitation-only beta. While we finish hardening the platform, all billing runs through Stripe test moderather than live payment processing. The “Test mode” label in the banner at the top of every page is how we make that explicit.
You are never charged real money
In test mode, Stripe accepts only test card numbers and processes them against a sandbox. No real card is charged and no money moves. You can explore checkout, plans, and the billing portal end-to-end to see how they work, with zero financial risk.
Why we run beta in test mode
- It lets invited testers exercise the full subscription, upgrade, and downgrade flows exactly as a paying customer would.
- It guarantees that early evaluation can never produce an unexpected charge while pricing and entitlements are still being finalised.
- It gives us a safe environment to validate webhooks, invoices, and plan changes before a single live transaction occurs.
What happens when we go live
When CrowAgent leaves beta and switches to live Stripe keys, the “Test mode” label disappears automatically and real billing begins for paid plans. Anything you do today in test mode is for evaluation only and does not create a live subscription.
